I am passionate about bringing hope into the battle of Eating Disorders and equipping people with tools for recovery because I believe that recovery is possible for everyone.
At Auckland University I studied a Bachelor of Social Work and completed post graduate study in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. During my career I have also completed specialised training in a number of Eating Disorder treatments and trainings around body image. Working for Auckland District Health Board in General Mental Health and for the Auckland Regional Eating Disorder Service as a Therapist has helped fuel my passion and commitment to seeing people recover.

I grew up in a small town outside of Chicago, Illinois and relocated to New Zealand in 2019. Doing so has brought me to some of the most rewarding and life changing discoveries that I have experienced throughout my journey. I attribute all of this to my Recovery.
When I was 14 years old I began my battle with Anorexia. In what felt like an instant I was in my 20s and I had been trapped within the depths of my Eating Disorder for nearly a decade. At that time I was convinced that there was no treatment that would save my life and my illness would ultimately claim my life. That all changed when I decided to surrender Anorexia and began to take my first steps into recovery. I experienced some of the most overwhelming and beautiful feelings of joy, happiness, and freedom. I truly believe that there is hope for everyone and with the right tools you too can free yourself.
During my recovery I discovered that one of my dreams was walking alongside those who are trapped within the grasps of an Eating Disorder and helping them find their freedom. There is a way out and although that path is different for each of us, I am passionate and committed to helping you find yours.

Hello! My name is Bailey and I am passionate about spreading hope to those on their recovery journey.
My anorexia haunted me for two years, however for over half that time I didn't know it was there. My friends and family were concerned but I dismissed it, there is always someone worse off. However this mentality caused me to spiral, I was becoming a shell of the person I was. Anorexia made everything black and white, my emotions were either really high or really low, I did everything or nothing. Anorexia took things to the extreme, there was no middle ground and no grey area.
My recovery journey started when I met Jess at Redefined Coaching and things started looking up. I wasn't just being dramatic, or just being a naughty teenager, I wasn’t told I was making it up, she got it. I was being tortured by anorexia.
I understand what people with eating disorders are going through and Redefined Coaching taught me tools, strategies and walked with me through my recovery journey. Now it’s my turn to walk with those on their recovery journey to spread hope, encouragement and freedom. Your freedom is worth it!

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a recovery coach with a big heart for helping people break free from eating disorders. Having been through it myself, I know firsthand how tough and downright terrifying recovery can feel—but I also know how life-changing and freeing it is on the other side. My journey began long before my diagnosis; I struggled with body image and tried to control how I looked from the age of 8. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed in my early twenties that I truly began to face the battle. I battled for four years, enduring the hardest challenges while finding the strength to fight for a life of freedom. Now, I’m living a life I once thought was impossible, full of joy, health, and self-acceptance.
Having worked with Redefined, I knew from the beginning of my own recovery that once I was free, I was going to help others see how worth it recovery truly is. Recovery isn’t easy, but I promise it’s worth it. You’re stronger than you know, and I’m here to remind you of that every step of the way! Whether you’re just starting out or feeling stuck, I’m here to cheer you on, share what I’ve learned, and remind you that recovery isn’t just possible it’s life changing.

Kia Ora I’m Elyse and I am stoked to be a part of the Redefined Coaching team. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and recently completed my Masters in Applied Social Work, at Massey University.
My experience with an eating disorder started from the age of 15. Since then, it has been a journey of self discovery—of learning to appreciate my worth and value, enjoying who I was created to be, and learning the power of vulnerability and connection. Every single one us experience struggles, and none of us have been created to face them or to do life alone. If there’s anything that my journey has taught me it’s that healing is possible, healing happens from the inside out, and healing is truly possible for us all.

Hi, I’m Sienna and it is an honour to be part of the incredible team at Redefined Coaching. My journey toward becoming a recovery coach is deeply personal, rooted in my own experience with anorexia nervosa as a teenager. I faced an arduous and lengthy battle with my eating disorder, one marked by persistent ups and downs. Despite the many challenges and setbacks, I tenaciously fought my way through the darkness, filled with many moments of doubt, fear and uncertainty. Through this relentless effort, I battled my way to the other side, where I now stand, able to experience true freedom and joy. This allowed me to fulfil my dream of moving cities to go to university and pursue my studies in Psychology.
This journey has instilled in me a deep passion for helping individuals to be able to live a life without the confines of an eating disorder and instead, full of purpose, resilience, and genuine happiness.
I firmly believe that the qualities and strengths that may lead people into an eating disorder can be harnessed to their fullest potential in the recovery process. My aim is to guide individuals toward harnessing qualities, empowering them to rediscover life and the freedom that comes with it.
There is hope, and I’m here to help you find it.

Hello! My name is Fran Ward, and it brings me immense joy to become a part of the Redefined Team as a Recovery Coach. Though originally hailing from Australia, my life's journey has taken me to various corners of the world, including London, and more recently, Singapore, which I've called home for the past three and a half years.
My passion for promoting the well-being of adolescents has steered me towards a fulfilling career as a Health educator. Teaching topics such as eating disorders, body image, and self-esteem has been my forte, as I relish empowering young individuals with the tools they need to build confidence, appreciate themselves, and harness their strengths while addressing their challenges.
Growing up amidst family members who grappled with eating disorders and body image issues throughout my life, coupled with my own weight-related struggles, has ignited a fervor within me to aid individuals battling eating disorders. I'm dedicated to offering client's hope and equipping them with the necessary resources to take control and lead content and meaningful lives. This profound commitment led me to pursue a Master's in Counselling at Monash University, and I've recently furthered my expertise through additional studies at The Australian Centre for Eating Behaviour (ACFEB).
I'm deeply passionate about working closely with clients to support them throughout their journey. I aim to demonstrate that liberation is attainable by fostering a strong, collaborative relationship, along with my guidance and expertise, allowing them to overcome their challenges through effective tools, strategies, and unwavering support. I want my clients to understand that I'm here with them every step of the way, ready to navigate the peaks and valleys, and to empower them with the belief that recovery is indeed achievable.

Hi there! My name is Kate, and I am so excited to be part of the team at Redefined Coaching. I am currently studying Psychology while working full time in Government.
My pathway to becoming a Recovery Coach has been a deeply personal one. At the age of 17, I developed an eating disorder that would go on to last several years without seeking professional help. These years were filled with so many ups and downs, but ultimately lead me to finding the healthiest and happiest version of myself. Now, my intention is to support those going through their own recovery journey and be the support I wish I had had.
If my journey has taught me anything, it is that I truly believe that recovery is possible for everyone. I am so honoured to be able to provide those struggling with the support and guidance they need to hold on to the hope of life beyond their eating disorder.

Hey, I’m Harry from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. It is a privilege to be part of such an awesome team, helping others to recover and realise how good life can be post-eating disorder.
When I had mine, I didn’t think a full recovery was possible. However, I came to learn not only that it was possible, but that life out the other side is better than I'd ever imagined. I can think of nothing better than helping others realise that for themselves.
Since leaving school, I've completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Science degree in Psychology and Economics. During my studies, I worked as a volunteer counsellor at Youthline and spent six months counselling students at a high school. I then wrote my book “Hungry to Be Happy” to raise awareness around eating disorders and inspire hope for families still in its grip. By the end of 2024, I will also be a registered Career Counsellor.
Recovery is still the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I’ll always be grateful that I fought hard enough to get my life back. As your recovery coach, I’ll be there in your corner as you do the same, fighting the biggest fight of your life and realising just how special life is once you’re free.

I have a Diploma in Nursing and a Diploma of Community Services (Alcohol, other drugs and Mental Health). I have experience working as a mental health nurse in adult psychiatry, where I currently work in an adult psychiatric inpatient unit.
